Assistance in learning to read the Qur’an is very important because many people (especially the elderly) who have very little ability to read the Koran, some even cannot read the Koran at all. The purpose of this view of learning to read the Koran is to find out the improvement in learning to read the Koran for the elderly and it is also hoped that in this mentoring it can help people in Nusamangir Kemranjen Banyumas to be able to read the Koran in accordance with the reading rules (Tajwid) is correct especially for the elderly. After learning to read the Qur'an with the learning method; Iqro, lectures, repetition reading, and assignments, found several findings, including: increasing interest in learning to read the Qur'an, as well as the participation of the elderly in learning to read the Al-Qur'an to be more conducive.
Pendampingan pembelajaran membaca Al-Qur’an sangatlah penting karena banyak masyarakat (khususnya lansia) yang memiliki mampuan membaca Al qur’annya sangat kurang bahkan ada yang belum bisa sama sekali membaca al Qur’an. Adapun Tujuan pendampingan pembelajaran membaca Al-Qur’an ini unutuk mengetahui peningkatan pembelajaran membaca Al Qur’an bagi lansia dan diharapkan juga dalam dalam pendamingan ini dapat membantu masyarakat yang ada di Nusamangir Kemranjen Banyumas agar dapat membaca Al-Qur’an sesuai dengan aturan bacaan (Tajwid) yang benar khususnya bagi lansia. Setelah melakukan pembelajaran membaca Al-Qur’an dengan metode belajar; Iqro, ceramah, pengulangan membaca, dan penugasan, ditemukan beberapa temuan, diantaranya: meningkatkan minat belajar membaca Al-Qur’an, serta partisipasi lansia dalam belajar membaca Al-Qur’an menjadi lebih kondusif
