Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the governance of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) as a marketing aggregator that connects micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the village government in Purworejo Village. This activity applies a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach through the stages of problem identification, stakeholder communication, training implementation, evaluation, and follow-up planning. A total of 14 participants consisting of village government elements, BUMDes administrators, and MSME actors participated in a single-group evaluation with a pretest and posttest scheme. The evaluation results showed an average increase in participants' understanding score of 10.18 points, namely from 71.65 (SD = 9.53) in the pretest to 81.83 (SD = 8.07) in the posttest. A total of 11 participants (78.57%) experienced an increase in their scores, while 3 participants (21.43%) showed a decrease. The results of the paired t-test indicated a statistically significant difference, t(13) = 2.68, p = 0.019, with an effect size of dz = 0.72. This finding proves that the training successfully improved participants' short-term cognitive understanding of collaborative village business governance.
