Sosialisasi Kesiapsiagaan Kebakaran Sebagai Kick Off Ekstrakurikuler K3 di SD Negeri 4 Klayan

This community service activity aimed to initiate the formation of a K3 School as a sustainable extracurricular program at SD Negeri 4 Klayan, Gunung Jati, Cirebon, through a fire preparedness outreach positioned as the kickoff of the program. The activity was carried out through four stages, namely field observation, coordination with the Fire and Rescue Department of Cirebon Regency Gunung Jati Sector, implementation of outreach and fire handling simulations for students, and formulation of a follow-up plan for establishing the extracurricular structure together with the school. The simulations included fire suppression techniques using a wet cloth and handling of an ignited liquefied petroleum gas leak, the two risks most relevant to household conditions in the area. The results showed high enthusiasm among students during the simulations and the willingness of the school to continue the program as a routine extracurricular activity with an appointed supervising teacher. This activity confirms that fire safety education in coastal elementary schools needs to be supported by an institutional approach so that disaster preparedness awareness does not stop at a single outreach session but becomes internalized continuously through an extracurricular pathway
