Pemberdayaan Masyarakat melalui Pemanfaatan Limbah Galon Bekas Berbasis Pupuk MOL untuk Optimalisasi Pekarangan

This community service program aimed to describe the community empowerment process through the utilization of discarded plastic gallon containers as productive planting pots and the application of Local Microorganism (MOL) liquid fertilizer to support household food security. The program was implemented using a participatory approach consisting of community socialization, hands-on training in converting used plastic gallons into planting pots through cutting, drainage installation, and decoration, followed by assistance in cultivating crops using MOL liquid fertilizer. The results demonstrated an improvement in participants' knowledge and practical skills in transforming plastic waste into functional planting media. Each participating household successfully produced at least three to five functional planting pots that were utilized for backyard cultivation. The periodic application of MOL liquid fertilizer supported plant growth by providing essential nutrients suitable for the limited planting media.
