Pemberdayaan Potensi Diri melalui Program Public Speaking pada Murid MI NU Thoriqotus Sa’diyah di Lereng Muria Desa Colo Kabupaten Kudus

Some elementary school students still feel shy and afraid of making mistakes when speaking in public. This community service program aimed to increase the courage and self-confidence of fifth- and sixth-grade students at MI NU Thoriqotus Sa’diyah, Colo Village, Kudus, and to introduce basic public speaking techniques. The program used an educative and participatory approach through ice breaking, self-confidence material, question-and-answer sessions, simulations, classroom practice, and appreciation. Evaluation was conducted by observing participation, courage, understanding, and speaking ability. Approximately 85% of students became more courageous and confident, 80% mastered vocal techniques, 82% felt more prepared and relaxed sharing personal experiences, and 90% committed to keep practicing. Public speaking training for elementary students is more effective when psychological readiness, direct experience, and regular practice are combined, and should be continued.
